So it's been a while since i've posted, I guess I didn't really have a reason to. Still not much is new, but with everyday I get more and more excited to move. We move on the 13 of April and I am so excited...completely unprepared, but nonetheless, excited. I don't even have a bed to sleep on. The good news is that my parents are coming the weekend before my birthday to buy the last minute needs that i'll have and, of course, to celebrate my birthday. I wish they could be here on my birthday, i've never spent a birthday by myself before. I know maggie and reid would be here for me if i needed them, but i hate to bother them in their busy scheduals. Instead of getting the bed, bedframe, headboard and all that jazz, i have decided just to get a mattress and a box spring and to put it on the floor, for that funky loft space feeling. Its gonna look great; lots of pillows against the wall so its comfy, paper lanterns hung over my bed. Really it will be more of a place to chill and what not rather than just a bed. i'm a little concerned with what type of person my mother thinks i am, considering she is insisting on me getting a full sized bed...i'm like...does it really make a difference? She didn't really answer and i didnt want to know what her opinion was so i changed the subject.
So, i've been playing my guitar lately, and i have to say for a few days i was a bit obsessed. I can now officially play 7 songs. My favorite being (Sittin' on the) Dock of the Bay. I love it and like to play it too. I'm not very good but i like to do it and really i think that's all that matters. its not like anyone is going to hear me play it other than myself and kayla, although i'm not sure if she ever really pays attention. she's been like, obsessed with this guy lately. she talks to him all the time and talks about him all the time. i'm not sure who he is though. he doesnt go here, i think he might be from st.louis or something.
Oh yeah!! I adopted a kitty!!! Her name is Lillie and she is sooooooo cute!! she's black and white and adorable. i can't wait to move so that i can bring her home. we adopted her from the cat house in lincoln, this no kill cat shelter. they're so nice there. kayla is thinking of getting a cat too. i'm not sure what i think about having two cats in the house, especially because ive never even had one. i hope our apartment doesnt smell. i dont really think it will, kayla is a pretty tidy person and our apartment is pretty big. it should be okay...i just hope that we dont end up as the crazy cat ladies, you know?
So, thats pretty much it from the life of charley these days, boring i know, but what did you expect?
