So, for the first time in the 3 months that I have lived at 5151 Vine Street in apartment 610, I layed on my couch, covered in a blanket and just watched t.v. For the first time, I felt like I was "home." Maybe it was the smell of my freshly cleaned apartment or the perfect feng shui of my new layout of my living room, but something about that night just felt right. It was nothing special or exciting but maybe that is what was so great about it. Kayla was home in St. Louis for the weekend and I got so much done. I was so happy to just be alone in my apartment for once. Of course, i'm still petrified about living here completely alone, but I think I'll be okay. Finally, for once, I feel fine.
Oh, and for everyone's information, I didn't get fired from the hotel. Yeah, I was a little excited to say the least. I went in a couple of days ago and sheepishly asked Jane (our Front Office Manager) if Lynnie was back from vacation yet. I stood there at the front desk shaking with fear as Jane calmly explained that this was going to be a "learning experience" and that it was going to be okay. I was so happy, I couln't stop smiling as I walked out of the building.
Today I went shopping with Kayla. I got a new bra and it is amazing. If there was a Nobel Prize for underwear, this bra would take it hands down. At first I thought that it was just any ole' bra, but ooooh no. This sucker is fab. Trust me. Fab.
Okay, so having successfully creeped you all out with my underwear tales, I shall return to my job...ugh.
