Well, French final is over. I think it went O.K. I was the first one done which usually means on of two things: I did really well...or really bad...I hope it's not the latter of the two. Feeling fairly self-confident, I decided to have a Pita for supper in celebration of my French final being over. I'm a little sad that I won't have another French class ever again. It's weird to think that this is as much French as i'll ever know. In some way, it kind of bothers me. It makes me want to take more languages. I really like the idea of how other people converse. I mean, we all mean the same thing but the way that people do it using completely different words and tonal quality is really cool to me. I really like it. I'm not sure that French would ever be my favorite language. After taking a semester of it, i've really begun to appreciate Spanish. It's so much easier. But, maybe, that is what makes French so interesting. There are so many little things with pronunciation that really make it complex. Knowing when to pronounce the last consanant and when not to, and when to use the liason, and the conjugation of some of the verbs are so strange, sometimes it seems like it makes no sense. I love it. I wish we offered Italian here. I would take that in a heartbeat. It's kind of like a combination of French and Spanish and English, so I have a feeling I'd do pretty well in it. I'm going to miss Pete. He's so cute. I shared my peppermint sticks with him today. I liked him the most out of the entire class, because he was smart, quiet, and funny. And adorable. Just the way I like 'em. Sigh. Maybe someday we'll have another class together. I guess i'll just have to start hanging out in Circuit City more. (he works there)
