Well, Kids, the moral of today's story is don't drink and drive. No, no, I didn't get into an accident, or pulled over, or anything of that nature but I am one lucky girl because I should have. I went out last night after a dull night at work and drank way to much. By the end of the night, I was having trouble seeing. It was almost 2:00 (i think...) in the morning and my options were either to attempt to drive 80 blocks back home or to spend the night with my cousin, her boyfriend, and his 3 creepy roommates. No thanks. So, I grabbed my keys and left. Mostly because Eric, the only one that was truely concerned that I make it home safely, had passed out on the couch and Brittney was too drunk to care. I saw 3 police cars on my way home all of them had someone pulled over. I had to sing in order to stay awake. I am soo lucky I made it home safely.
On the brighter side of things, my ceramics project is done and and looking...well, maybe just 'ok.' It took me all of friday night to do, which isn't bad considering most people in my class have been working on it for a week. Mine isn't going to be as polished as theirs was, but having my first attempt at this project fall apart in the middle of the week doesn't make it easy to present a picture perfect project. It is a vase with an Indian Paisley print etched into it. The paisley looks pretty good. It's too bad the rest of the vase couldn't be a little better. Oh well, at least it will leave me with room to improve for the rest of the semester. Speaking of which, I can't wait until my rent runs out in May. I think i'm going to move downtown. There are apartments down there for less than $300 dollars a month! For someone paying almost twice that much to live in a one bedroom apartment alone, that is a big difference. And they don't look too shady, either. Plus, i'll be able to walk to class AND work instead of having to drive every day. It is such a waste of time and gas. I would be less than 5 blocks from the Embassy Suites. It will be so nice to be able to walk to work. I just hope it isn't too shady out at 11 o'clock at night. I guess I can always catch a ride with my brother if we work the same shifts. I still want him to buy a house. I don't like living alone. During Christmas break I was talking to Aaron and Nick about all three of us living together but I doubt they'd want to share an apartment with a girl. If we did all live together, though, there is an apartment that would be $175 a month per person. That is a terrific price. The lease is 12 months, though, which scares me, but at less than $200 dollars a person, it wouldn't be hard to find people that would want to live there in case someone would have to move out. I'm really excited to live downtown. I'm always downtown anyway and this way I won't have to worry about parking. I can't wait until may.
